A first trip to Europe from Surat is a rite of passage — and the classic Paris → Switzerland → Italy loop packs the most icons into ten days. It is the itinerary our travellers come back raving about, and with one Schengen visa you glide across borders by train.
The classic first-timer route
Fly into Paris, take the TGV to Switzerland, then continue to Italy and fly home from Rome or Venice. Ten days is the sweet spot: enough to see the highlights of three countries without living out of a suitcase every night.

Days 1–3: Paris
The Eiffel Tower, a Seine river cruise, the Louvre and a day at Disneyland Paris if you have kids. Add a half-day to the Palace of Versailles. Evenings are for wandering Montmartre and the Champs-Élysées.
Days 4–6: Switzerland
Base in Interlaken or Lucerne and ride the cogwheel trains up Jungfraujoch — the “Top of Europe” — or Mount Titlis for snow all year. Lake cruises, chocolate, and the most jaw-dropping Alpine scenery on the continent.

Days 7–10: Italy
Cross into Italy for Venice’s canals and a gondola ride, the art of Florence, and Rome’s Colosseum, Vatican and Trevi Fountain. Fly home from Rome or Venice. Prefer fewer cities? Swap Italy for Amsterdam and the Netherlands.

Schengen visa & budget
One Schengen visa covers all three countries — apply to the embassy where you spend the most nights (usually France or Switzerland here). Budget roughly ₹1.8–2.8 lakh per person for 10 days with flights, 3-star stays and rail. Explera prepares the full visa file and books your VFS slot.
Best time to go
May–September gives long, warm days and green Alpine meadows; December brings magical Christmas markets and snow. Book 6–8 weeks ahead for the best airfares and to secure your VFS appointment in time.
Explera builds custom Europe grand tours from Surat — flights, hotels, rail passes, day tours and the Schengen visa on one plan, with 24/7 support. WhatsApp us your dates and we’ll design your route.
