Singapore is the family-holiday gold standard from Gujarat — Universal Studios, Sentosa, Gardens by the Bay and a Little India full of Gujarati food. Its visa is easy in principle, costing around ₹4,000 all-in with 3–5 working days of processing, but it has one quirk that surprises first-timers: you cannot apply for it yourself.
The quirk: authorised agents only
The Singapore High Commission does not accept tourist visa applications directly from individuals. Every application must be filed through one of its authorised agents. This isn't a workaround, it's the official process — so "which agent" isn't optional, it's the system, and it's why every Singapore trip starts with a travel desk like ours.
What you get
The Singapore visa is an e-visa PDF. It's commonly issued with multiple-entry validity, often up to about two years depending on your profile, with each visit typically allowed around 30 days. That makes it superb value — one visa can cover this year's family trip and next year's stopover.

Documents you need
You'll need a passport valid for at least six months from travel with blank pages, a recent photo against a white background — Singapore is strict on photo specs — a completed Form 14A, which we fill in with you, and confirmed return flights and a hotel booking. Business visits also need an invitation letter from the Singapore company. The single most common reason applications bounce is the photo — wrong size, an old photo reused, or a shadowed background — so we re-shoot and resize it to spec before filing.
Cost and timeline
The visa fee plus agent processing comes to around ₹4,000 all-in, with processing taking 3–5 working days. Validity is often multiple entry, up to around two years, with roughly 30 days allowed per visit. Fees and validity depend on the embassy's decision for each profile, and we confirm before filing.
Pairing Singapore with Malaysia or a cruise
Most Gujarat families don't stop at Singapore. A twin trip with Malaysia, on a separate visa that we also arrange, is the classic combination, and Singapore is also the home port for major Southeast Asia cruises — board in Singapore, sail to Malaysia and Thailand, and fly home. If a cruise tempts you, we plan the visa validity around the sailing dates.
