Overview

As of Resolution 353/2025 (28 August 2025), Indian citizens holding a valid US visa (B1/B2/J/O/P/E/H-1B and similar) or a US Green Card can enter Argentina for tourism for up to 90 days with no consular visa and no Electronic Travel Authorisation (AVE) required at all. For Surat’s many frequent US travellers, this is by far the fastest route, and Explera checks it before starting any paperwork.

Without a qualifying US visa, Indian citizens apply for a traditional Argentina tourist visa through the Consulate General in Mumbai — issued free of charge by the Argentine government, though it is a full document-based consular process that typically takes 4–8 weeks. Argentina does not offer a general e-visa to Indian citizens; the AVE electronic authorisation is itself limited to travellers who already hold a US visa.

Who needs a Argentina visa?

Indian citizens can enter Argentina without applying for a visa in advance for up to 90 days — you only need a passport valid 6+ months, a confirmed return ticket and proof of funds. Explera confirms the current rule for your nationality and briefs you on immigration formalities before you fly.

Why Argentina visas get refused — and how we prevent it

Most refusals come down to avoidable mistakes. Explera pre-screens every application against each of these before we file:

!

Incomplete, inconsistent or poorly-scanned documents

!

Insufficient or unexplained bank balance and unclear funding

!

Passport valid for less than 6 months or without blank pages

!

Mismatched traveller details between passport, photo and application

!

Unconfirmed or unrealistic itinerary, tickets or hotel bookings

Tips for a smooth Argentina visa

  • Keep your passport valid at least 6 months beyond your Argentina travel dates, with 2+ blank pages.
  • Have a clear return ticket and confirmed accommodation ready — they strengthen even simple applications.
  • Apply early: start your Argentina visa at least 10–14 days before departure to absorb any delay.
  • Bundle your visa with flights, hotels and insurance through Explera — a complete, consistent file approves faster.
